Dr. Trinh Khac Quang served as a Senior Researcher at the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAAS). He has formerly held multiple positions in the field of agricultural research, subsequently including the President (2014-2017) and the Vice President (2013-2014) of VAAS, the Director General of Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute (FAVRI) of VAAS (2008-2013), the Deputy Director General of Department of Science, Technology and Environment (1998-2007), and Researcher of Field Crops Research Institute (1980-1998). 

Dr. Trinh obtained Ph.D. degree (2000) from Vietnam National University of Agriculture. His research interests cover participatory varsity selection and food security compliance. He led multiple research projects on breeding, plant protection, and bio-safety. Due to his expertise, Dr. Trinh was appointed advisory member of a committee in Food and Fertilizer Technology Center from 2015 to 2016.
