2026 Theme

In 2024, 76 countries held national elections, resulting in political transitions and new policy directions amid significant geopolitical and economic shifts worldwide. Moving into 2026, the new US tariff policy is reconfiguring trading patterns and thus reshaping not only the Indo-Pacific region but also the global political-economic terrain.

Despite the turbulent international landscape, Taiwan has continued to play a leading role in high-tech supply chains and promote stability in the region while upholding democracy and supporting New Southbound Policy (NSP) partners and like-minded countries worldwide. Taiwan’s steadfast endeavors have underscored its importance to nurturing prosperity and security and creating virtuous cycles worldwide. This year, the Yushan Forum has adopted the theme “Indo-Pacific Partnership Prospects: Taiwan’s Values, Technology, and Resilience” so as to explore how to cultivate regional collaboration and ensure global peace and prosperity through solutions that are based on Taiwan’s values and incorporate technology and resilience.
