Mr. Kuei assumed the current position in December 2020. With a career in public service spanning over three decades, he began the path at the former Government Information Office, where he was a press officer and had been posted at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Washington, D.C. (1992-96, 2003-08)—Taiwan’s chief mission in the United States, and Taipei Representative Office in the Republic of Singapore (2009-12). He joined the Ministry of Culture (MoC) in 2012 and has served as the head of the MoC’s overseas offices in Kuala Lumpur (2013) and Washington, D.C. (2017-20) before returning to Taiwan in the summer of 2020.
