Remus Li-Kuo Chen is the current Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Taiwan. Previously, he served as a Representative at the Taipei Representative Office in the European Union and Belgium from 2022 to 2023, Director-General in the Department of European Affairs from 2021 to 2022, and even as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belize from 2018 to 2021. He has served in a variety of other foreign service roles in Taiwan and the United States.
Li-Kuo Chen holds an MA from National Taiwan Normal University, and he has also participated in Senior Executive Fellows programs at Harvard University, the Executive Yuan in Taiwan, and at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Hawaii.
