Hon. Aznifah Isnariah Binti ABDUL GHANI

President/Representative
Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre in Taipei

Aznifah is the President of the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre, Malaysia’s representative office in Taiwan. With over two decades of diplomatic experience, she has worked extensively on Malaysia’s multilateral engagements, spanning economic cooperation, environmental sustainability, political and security affairs, regional partnerships, public diplomacy, and policy planning.

Before her posting in Taiwan, she served as Undersecretary for the Multilateral Economics and Environment Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she led Malaysia’s engagements at the UN and other global platforms. From 2005 to 2008, she was First Secretary at the Malaysian Embassy in Belgium. Over the years, she has represented Malaysia in high-level international meetings, summits, and negotiations, tackling issues from regional security and political affairs to climate change, and sustainable development.

Born and raised in Malaysia, with a brief childhood stint in Pakistan, Aznifah has learned to love and appreciate various cultures. Beyond the world of geopolitics, she juggles work with raising three kids, experiments (sometimes successfully) in the kitchen, takes long morning walks to clear her head, and answers to five demanding feline overlords.
