Dr. Yuh-Jye Lee is a leading expert in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, currently serving as Senior Advisor to Taiwan’s National Security Council. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001 and has held academic and leadership roles at top institutions, including Academia Sinica and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.

Dr. Lee's research focuses on the convergence of AI and national security, with particular interest in applications such as unmanned systems, C4ISR architectures, and decision support technologies. As the initiator of the Trustworthy AI Dialogue Engine (TAIDE)—Taiwan’s sovereign large language model based on Meta’s Llama—he plays a key role in advancing trustworthy and resilient AI infrastructures.

He previously served as Deputy Executive Secretary at the National Science and Technology Council, where he helped shape Taiwan’s science and technology strategy. Dr. Lee remains actively engaged in promoting AI applications that enhance national defense, strategic autonomy, and technological resilience.
