Danilo Lachica is President of SEIPI, representing the electronics industry which accounts for 62.3% of total Philippine commodity exports and employs over 3 million direct and indirect workers. He has more than 40 years of senior management experience in semiconductors, electronics, and consumer goods manufacturing, including 16 years in front-end wafer manufacturing in Silicon Valley.

He previously served as Senior Vice President of First Philippine Holdings and President of the group’s electronics and solar manufacturing companies. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Iomega, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, American Microsystems, and Procter & Gamble. He also led the USAID-ULF Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Development Program.

Lachica is a Six Sigma Black Belt and expert in global management systems. He has received several awards from the University of the Philippines (UP) and national professional organizations. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UP Diliman, an Master of Business Administration from San Jose State University, and a Doctor of Business Administration from De La Salle University and serves on multiple government and science advisory councils.
